- The only type of speed lost due to the bus should be access to the hard drive,
- as the Shablamm uses its own on board memory. You could help eliminate this
- by getting a fast, wide, SCSI controller and hard-drive.

- The NEC may be somewhat faster, depending on the disk and video subsystems in
- your 486, but you will gain in compatibility as you will be able to choose whether
- to boot to a intel compat. 486, or a MIPS with NT.
